@Jonathan SI think their issue of using Hirens is two-fold. First those that use it probably do not realize that it is illegal, and find the convenience of the software very easy and powerful. Second, it is most likely not “Fry’s Corporate” making/giving them Hirens, but some young computer guy bringing it to work and they all start using it due to reason #1 above.Most corporate repair organizations: Geek Squad, Staples EasyTech, etc. Give their techs only a couple software tools to use, and as we all learned from the list above, it takes a large variety of software to correctly solve these problems.
