Sims will make or break BFFs in the way EA intended. If your sim's relationship does not fall into the zones above, the BFF decay rate will happen as EA intended. If they are in those zones, then the decaying will be suspended. What does 720 mean. All relationships can go up and down as EA intended during any type.

You can't set individual age of a sim, (make one sim 1 days younger than the other sim), but you can set the lifespan of EVERY sim in the neighborhood in the Gameplay Options. Though, when you create sims, they each get diffrent ages, except if you clone a sim.

What do you want this for? There might be a way. The ageing in the game is not consistent and I've had problems with a couple ageing out of sync. I also had a house of six with the same issue.
The couple, what I did with them was get them both to eat ambrosia together, this set them both to 0 days of their current lifestage. You can also grow a lifefruit plant and I think gain a day (not sure about that, I just used ambrosia).
If you want someone to stop ageing until someone else catches up with them age wise, then use ambrosia.

Or, just use the cake to age up a person you like. You can also use againg off for a while so the sims wont age and just age the right sim at the time.
However ther is no way to make sims that are in the same age get closer to eachother without special food. But if you want tohem to age at teh same time, jsut use the cake when the oldest one get a birthday,

You go to options and go to settings and you will probally see it, this might help..it might not help cuz i really dont know what your talkin bout, but just try it.

I've gone to the options button on the main menu to try to slow aging down, but the option isn't press-able. How do I get it to be clickable?

I had a my sim marry the maid but did not find out till they were married that he would age up to an old man in 3 days. What is the food that makes them younger??
I ended up killing him anyway to try for a ghost family. But did not know about food that makes you younger.

Ambrosia makes them younger. You need a death fish and a live fruit to make it. You have to up their fishing skills to be able to catch the death fish, found in the cemetery pond , must be done between 12am and 1am. Angelfish is the bait to use to catch it, to catch an angel fish you need red herring.
The life fruit seeds are at the cemetary, to the left as you look at the gate and to the right. Just outside the cemetary walls. Gardening skills required for this, fertilise with lobster for a good crop.
You need someone also to have a good cooking skill and to have bought the ambrosia recipe to enable them to be able to make it.
Once you have the death fish and the life fruit, put both in the fridge, when you click the fridge to cook a meal ambrosia will be on the menu, cook and eat. Age will reset to 0 elder or 0 adult days. Can't be used to change elder back to adult, just give them the full compliment of days. Use two sims to get the skills necessary, but only one needs to know the ambrosia recipe. They also get a 7 day good mood hit from it.
There is a mod to increaes skills over at mts. I used the books skills one ad it made skilling faster, amazingly faster. In dire circumstances these things have to be done, lol.

you got to the options..it looks like three circles in a row, then you click options and drag the bar to normal, epic or short! ;-)

Yip You can only change the age rate.. not the actual age of your sim. If you turn aging off then no one will age.. If aging is epic then everybody in town is epic aging.. Change this at the option like everyone else is telling you

I have 'epic aging' turned on. My original family had the Mom and a toddler.
I was able to age the original toddler up to a kid by selecting her name on a list to 'blow out candles'. I married the Mom and now have a baby.
:!: Why are the baby and the kid NOT on my list to blow out candles?
I'd hate to turn on aging and risk one of the parents aging up and not able to have more kids. But if I can't age the kids up with cake, I dunno what else to do. Is this a known bug, or am I doing something wrong?

I'm not sure why your kids are not on the list to blow out candles, but I do know that if you keep eating ambrosia for the adult, he/she will stay young while the kids will continue aging. Does this answer your question?

My sim has made and eaten ambrosia several times to keep her young so she and her husband can make his lifetime goal of having five children attainable. Now though, she ate the ambrosia, it reset the bar but when I went to enable aging again to let the two babies age, she aged as well. I don't understand why. Help?

An easier way to reset your sim's age is to do the cheat 'bb.showhidden objects' and type 'DEBUG' into the search bar in build/buy mode. Once in there, there are multiple colored chemistry-looking beakers and one of them says in the description they have the power to reset your sim's age. Have a sim drink it (I think they might have to be a teenager or older) and their age will be reset. I just tried it on my teen and it worked!
