Samsung Sps 2000 Software

HiI've just got myself a SPS 2000 for use in my (table service) restaurant. Now, I only bought the terminal as I already have a cash drawer and a printer (an Epson T88II which seems to be a compatible printer). The SPS 2000 came without any instructions but E-Till Systems (the retailer) did provide me with a pdf of the programming manual.Anyway, my first problem is getting the printer to work- it's all plugged in and powered up but the SPS doesn't seem to 'see' the Epson T88II and the serial port tests all show 'fail'.

I'm not entirely sure how to configure the serial ports though. Am I missing something completely obvious?If anyone has a quick set-up guide, it would be greatly appreciated. I'll upload the manual to this website (seems there are a few sites out there charging for it) and I also found a pdf of the operation guide somewhere, which I'll upload once I find it again.CheersT Posts: 7 Joined: Thu Apr 08, 2010 5:33 pm. Thanks for your previous reply.What I'm getting now is the SPS2000 telling me (whenever I try to print something) 'Printer Offline- Reg 1 Port: 3'Now, I'm pretty sure that I assigned the printer properly (it's the only one I have and the only one I'll use so I gave it number 1, naturally) in the setup and it's definately plugged into the right port (I've tried it with a couple but right now it's in COM port 3) and it's all powered up and switched on.The SPS software seems to think that it would know an Epson T88II and it does seem to have the drivers there.Any ideas on this one?

It's to be used for a table service restaurant, only 1 terminal, only 1 printer, no 'orderman' lelectronic ordering. If possible I'd like the terminal to be 'open' so that anybody can access the terminal at anytime with minimal or no sign-on.Ideally any employee should be able to approach the terminal and open the table plan or directly access any table, add plu items to that table and walk away or print off the bill for that particular table. They don't notice the mistake and pay the incorrect check and the cash goes into the till drawer. But then, the mistake is spotted and they are given that money back and asked to pay the proper Table5 check like they should have done.
